THANK YOU for an Amazing Spaghetti Town Hall! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at our Newtonbrook East Spaghetti Town Hall yesterday at Brebeuf College School. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbours over spaghetti. Thank you to the talented Brebeuf Senior Concert Band that filled the room with music and the many student volunteers from Brebeuf College and St. Joseph Morrow that provided a warm welcome! We also thank the kitchen volunteer team who cooked for over 150 people!

Automated Speed Enforcement Cameras Starting November 2024, mobile ASE will be rotated to: One permanent ASE (pole-mounted) will be installed at Drewry Ave. between Yonge St. and Grantbrook St., to address the frequent speeding and safety concerns of students crossing at RJ Lang Elementary School. In the interim review period, a mobile camera will be placed near RJ Lang in mid-to-late January 2025.
Starting January 2025, an additional mobile ASE will be placed at:
CORRECTIONS: My email yesterday referred to a cemetery that is actually located on the northeast corner of Yonge St. and Church Ave., not Yonge St. and Sheppard Ave.
One reader pointed out the timeline for road resurfacing is 25 years and not 50. After further investigation we discovered that resurfacing happens between 18-25 years, however, a road reconstruction, which goes to the concrete base, happens every 50 years if preventative measures have been taken. Transform Yonge will be a reconstruction and not a resurfacing. We apologize for any confusion.
